LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who is a player with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought to be one of the best basketball players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won four NBA championships and four NBA MVP Awards, and four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James scored more points during the playoffs. He has the second highest number of career points, and is seventh in career assists. James has been named an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. James was the third player to play in the NBA Finals. Eight of the games were in consecutive order from 2011 through 2018. James joined his way onto the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became the first NBA player to score 10,000 career points. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town of Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media for his potential as an NBA superstar. He was in the process of becoming a professional and was the first choice from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. He was voted one of the NBA player of the year for 2004. Soon he became one of the best players of the NBA, winning both the NBA MVP Award twice in 2009 and 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when James became a Free Agent after failing to achieve the title with Cleveland. The announcement was made in The Decision.
